Invalid file URL. Please link only jpg, jpeg, gif, ect. ect. It does this on any links I add. where can i change this to accept internet links?

Sounds like video links was disabled or videos were disabled entirely. Within CB Gallery > Parameters > Videos > Create ensure "Link" is set to "Enabled". Note you can't add any random URL you like. It will only accept from specific domains unless you're linking directly to a video file (e.g. an mp4). The video hosting domains it allows is YouTube and Vimeo only at this time.

That's one of the issues if you enter a link from youtube it still gives the error, I've checked all settings and video is enabled. It would be great to be able to add links just like you are able to do in CB Activity.

If they're not working you've disabled videos entirely or video links. My previous reply will turn them on globally, but if you disabled them in the Gallery tab within CB > Tab Management it will override that global. You can see this working below by sharing the
URL.
