Mod. of users w. user in more than one u.group 1.6

13 years 2 months ago #156552 by piranha_duiken
I have a problem with CB1.4 in J1.6

An user with superadmin rights and also an user in the normal membergroup
can't moderate a user in the membergroup.

Is there a solution?

Seams related to the below thread.

Are you using custom usergroups by chance? What exact error are you receiving? Is the user a Super User trying to edit a Registered user? Please provide more details.

Yes i use custom usergroups.

Frontend I want an user who is in the ADMIN group and in an other membergroup, to edit other users. I didnt get an error ther is just no edit button. Only when I remove the the out of the other membergroup (then he is in the ADMIN group only) then i see an edit button Frontend.

And indeed in the backend i got the same announcement you mentoined in the other topic

Ok, this would be because of how custom usergroups are regarded. Currently we've only tested and confirmed working core groups. Custom groups may or may not working depending on how they're setup. For example if you want different Registered users to have different groups I recommend making your custom groups children groups of Registered similar to Author and Publisher. The same would apply to Super Users.
