[SOLVED] CB Connect, Facebook and Avatar image quality was created by timomer
Hi,
I would like the Avatar on the CB Login module to be larger. This is easy to do via CSS but the image quality is too poor. (Changing from 60px to 100px width)
CB Connect is pulling in this image automatically via Facebook, is there anyway I can improve the quality of the image it is grabbing?

If you're using latest CB Connect release you can modify the HybridAuth Facebook provider and adjust the width/height of the profile picture URL. File can be found below.
components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbconnect/hybridauth/Providers/Facebook.php
Beyond the above I can not advise you on core modifications.

Hi Krileon, thanks for your reply and sorry for my delayed response.
Looking at your code you are already pulling in the profile picture ar 150x150 - whats perfect.
It appears that when you pull in a profile picture from facebook two images for that user are created under images/comprofiler/, a large image and a small image, the small image starts with "tn".
It appears that the CB Login module is using the "tn" image and this is where the issue is.
Can you suggest how I can tell the CB Login module to use the larger image?

The image is pulled then sent through normal image processing behavior. This includes generating the thumbnail. The "tn" version is the thumbnail, which the login module, userlists, etc.. will use. You can adjust the thumbnail size within CB > Configuration > Images, but it won't affect already uploaded images.
