List view with drop downs instead of lists? was created by annsiegle
I'm looking to create a filtered search that allows a list to be shown based on selecting a drop down of members' last names (rather than just creating a list of members by last name). Is this possible?

We don't have anything to provide that. You'd need to develop a fieldtype plugin that only has search output that takes every users username, makes them a select option, then has search criteria behavior to search the users by lastname based off the value selected. I don't think there's any easier way to have what you're wanting.
