[SOLVED] Modules don't appear on profile page...

18 years 3 months ago #3293 by dsendecki
Hey Y'all,

I'm having some problems -- I'm trying to publish a couple of modules.

I want them only to appear on profile pages. I've created a menu item with:

New Menu Item -> Component -> Community Builder

This menu item gives me a link of:

index.php?option=com_comprofiler&Itemid=187

Good right? Now I head over to my modules, and I choose a couple.

I publish them to the above menu link, and they dont appear on the profile page.

The profile page is rendered with this URL:

/Itemid,187/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&Itemid=187

But there are no modules. The modules only appear when I go into the Edit -> Update Your Profile buttons at the top of the page.

When I am editing/updating my profile, the module appears.

Can somebody help me -- spent 2+ hours on this so far!

Sorry to bump my own post -- but this is killing me! I can't seem to figure it out!

Is everybody else able to display modules on their profile pages? I mean I can, but only if they are set to "all". If I try to specfically publish to the "community builder" component, ie profile pages, these modules only appear when I edit the profile.

Anybody?
:(ps I use Emir Sakic's SEF Advance, but turning it off doesn;t seem to help!

Well, this was a one-user thread, but I am happy to announce that this problem was solved in the 1.07 release of Joomla.
