GroupJive email all group members when there is a new post

Hi guys

I have a client who would like to fire an email notification to all the members of a GroupJive group when any post is made in the group. Is there a way I can do this using AutoActions?

That's a good way to spam a lot of people and have their domain blacklisted by email providers. At any rate yes it's doable. Copy the system action "CB Groupjive - Stream Notification" and change its type from CB Activity to Email in your copy then remove the 2nd and 3rd conditions on it. Now you can customize the email action as needed. The action itself is already setup the loop a groups users through the auto action.

How do I get the activityOnAfterCreateStreamActivity vars again so that I can put them in the email. I know there is a reference document somewhere I just don't remember which one it is.

Triggers documentation can be found below.

Depending on what the activity is it may not have a message to substitute in as well.

So If I am understanding this right if I want to access the stream I would use [var1_stream] in the email text.
