You can install CB 1.8 over what you already have. No need to uninstall anything.

Please where can i do the note below in Joomla 2.5.1. i cant seem to figure it out.

• Setting Name: Allow User Registration
o Available Options via drop down list:
§ same as global ‘allow registration’ site setting
Use this setting to instruct CB to adhere by the
Joomla/Mambo Global site setting parameter to allow or not
front-end registrations (applications).

§ yes, independently of global site setting
Use this setting to instruct CB not to look at the
Joomla/Mambo global site configuration setting and to allow
front-end registrations (applications).

Note: Recommended settings – if front-end applications
are desired you should disallow them in the Joomla/Mambo
global site parameter and use the ‘yes, independently of
global site setting’ option above.

how do disallow global site parameter?

Thanks again

From the README file ...

11) [RECOMMENDED]
If you want to allow registrations only through Community Builder:
- in Admin->Components->Community Builder->Configuration->Registration:
set "Allow User Registration" to
"yes, independently of global site setting"

- in Joomla 1.7/2.5 Administration->Users->User Manager click the
Options button and set 'Allow User Registration' parameter to 'No'.

- in Joomla 1.5 Admin->Site->Global Configuration->System:
set "Allow User Registration" to "No".

- in Joomla 1.0/Mambo Admin->Site->Global Configuration->Site

Thanks a lot. You were right something i did was wrong. My editor was set to Rockpad. and this was not allow the information to be saved. So i changed the editor to The default editor and that resolved the problem.

Please to update my CBsubs 1.2.2 to 1.3RC how do i go about it?
