I'm having a problem with the new user registration process on our website. As part of the process we have the user confirm their email address by clicking on a link in a email. (I guess this is pretty standard)

When the user clicks the link they are sent to a payment page showing the amount due and with three options:

PayPal, Offline Payment or Cancel payment

If the user just closes the site at this point instead of pressing Cancel Payment then they are stuck: If they try to log in again the username/password combination doesn't work and it doesn't send them back to the payment page either. It just leaves them on the login page >> It doesn't resend the confirmation email.

I must have configured the site incorrectly. How do I ensure that when they try to log in again it will take them back to the Payment page?

I found the configuration error:

I had an incorrect value in the "Membership needed for access redirect URL for existing users" textbox. When I set it blank the issue was resolved.
