Auto-recurring renewal - not honouring price change to plan

10 years 6 months ago #234751 by AusAPT
Hi there,

We are experiencing a major issue with our CBSubs module. People using aut-recurring renewal through paypal are not being charged the correct pricing for their membership plan. This happened in at least 10 instances and already cost us several hundred dollars so far.

Approx. 3 months ago we increased the pricing for all of our membership plans. New signups, manual renewals and upgrades work fine and people are being charged the correct rate. However, all of our members who conveniently signed up for auto-renewal through paypal are being charged the original rate.

We're running CBSUBS 2.0.2 with Community Builder 1.9 on an older Joomla 1.5.26 system.

A quick reply would be much appreciated.

First of all you should upgrade to CBSubs GPL 3.0.

Those who have registered before the price upgrade and selected auto-recurring payment method will be charges the old price.

I believe this is working as intended.

Old subscribers will need to unsubscribe and resubscribe again to get new pricing.

You cannot force a user that has committed to pay X amount avery period to suddenly pay X+Y without his approval.
