Quick follow up question, I have created said field, the one FOR ADMIN VIEW ONLY, it does not show on profile but if user clicks on "EDIT PROFILE" they can view and edit that field.

I dont want the user to see the field at all. Any suggestions?
PS: It is set not to show in profile, all is not set except it's published.

OK, I have a alternative to my question.

Is ther way (being new here) that I can add a tab, but all the info/text displayed on the tab is READ ONLY, so that when a registered user won a competition, I can add the date and prize won there. They can see it, and so can I, but they cannot change it. Plus, I must be able to change tha field for each individual user seperately.

This would be of great help to me and solve all my problems.

Well, make the field read only for the user.

I have set all the email addresses in ADMIN CONFIG, and still dont receive any email when new user registers.

Another question, how do you download the USER LIST to a excel spreadsheet? Is there 3rd party plug in I can use and possible be able to select all or some of fields to extract?

Did you try to search for excel in the forum before asking?

I have found no conclusive answer. Did search before asking. The only option it seems (as found on www.joomla.org) is to download via PhPMyAdmin control panel.
