I have searched but not found an answer- sorry if I've missed the obvious but I am irked at having to specially avoid clicking on the Old Contacts (component) listed and make sure I click on CB Contacts.

1. Is there a way of preventing it's appearance as there seems no way of removing it "legally"?

2. Are these two options on the Components Tab linked, so that if one is changed the other also takes up the change. I suppose I'm asking is the DB using the same data?
