CBSubs and cb_activity usecase question

Hello again...

Using CBSubs plans we need to limit some things that show in cb activity streamline items.

We attach a screenshot so that you can understans exactly what we mean... The best would be to substitute them with a text like "Subscribe for full details..." so that unpaid members do not know who made the post, and can not see his avatar that on our case is a company's logo.

Avatar and Formatname fields are used extensively outside of profile. I highly do not recommend doing that. You'll likely have all kinds of odd design issues by doing so. At any rate it maybe doable using CBSubs Fields Tabs Protection and by adding a subscription condition on those fields. Use details mode if you want to add replacement text to be displayed in the fields place.

At any rate it maybe doable using CBSubs Fields Tabs Protection and by adding a subscription condition on those fields.

Did it and it worked Great!

Use details mode if you want to add replacement text to be displayed in the fields place.

Here we have an issue

Replacement text shows fine in profile viewing, but not in activity stream viewing (see attached image). CBSubs Fields Tabs Protection hides the poster's username but in activity stream there is no replacement text.

Also please tell us if the replacement can be an image instead of text. (ie <img scr = "...)

The replacement text feature as far as I'm aware only applies to profile view. So it won't work outside of that. The only other way to style it outside of that is maybe the Layout parameters within the field it self, which support substitutions. As for HTML in the replacement text the best approach is probably to use a language string (e.g. AVATAR_DISPLAY_BLOCKED) then use language overrides to add your HTML. Example as follows.

Key: AVATAR_DISPLAY_BLOCKED
String:
<img src="IMG_PATH" alt="avatar" />
