Hi,

I've just done an upgrade from RC2 to 1.0.2 following an upgrade of Joomla from 1.0.8 to 1.0.12. Much of this expreience went very well and the site is live again .. but ..

I have a dropdown menu with url links directly to profiles. These work great.

For those who can't see the dropdown I have a link to a members list from CB. This list was created before the upgrades. It works too.

All the links in that list however show an error:

[code:1]You are not authorised to view this resource.
You need to login.[/code:1]

If I create a new list the link to it also shows the same error.

All is set so that 'everybody' can see it.

All registered users who are approved are upgraded to authors by me.

Here's the difference between links that work and those that don't

Works:
index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=userProfile&user=85

Doesn't work:
index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=userProfile&user=85&Itemid=42

Note the itemID on the end that CB or Joomla is tacking on.

Does anybody have any ideas about this??

In short, I can't create new lists that are publicly accessible and I can't link to existing profiles from the current list.

It's really sort of confusing. Similar posts here are usually resolved easily, but this appears to be some flaw in te way that I upgraded. I was hoping that the knowing folks here might be able to push me in the right direction to fix this without undoing all the good done by the upgrade in the first place.

I have the exact thing happening. none of my modules link to the profile and only to the "you are not authorized..."

i added the "&Itemid=42 " to the end of the url and the profile comes up.

Any help???

My Lists are fine and i can access my users profiles through there, but no where else.

I checked all my settings and cant figure it out

OUTSTANDING! You are getting exactly the opposite error to mine!
What can that possibly mean?

What version of Joomla are you running now? and what version of CB?

Can anybody tell us what the url is really supposed to look like?

I suspect that the answer is that the itemid is supposed to be there.

Why are we getting opposite errors with identical results??????

I've done all those and even contibuted to solve them, but now I got issues of my own.

I am running CB 1.0.2 and Joomla 1.0.12

I don't have and duplicate menu links to CB and I think the latest componant i install was acajoom and plaxo invite - but i doubt it has anything to do with it.
