Hi,
Somehow I've got a corruption here. I had to delete CB and reinstall and all seems to be working except for 2 instances of: _pg_ProfileGallery which I can see in the Tab Field management. One has a red line under the plug in name. And I can unpublish it, but I cannot delete it. When I try I get the error message:
_pg_ProfileGallery is being referenced by an existing field and cannot be deleted!

Do I need to worry and/or is there a backend file I can delete?

This isn't a corruption; its be design.

There is a field that is referencing that plugin. Delete all fields related to profile gallery (in the fields manager) and then you will be unable to uninstall.

If I recall, all fields are preceeded by a 'pg' that identifies them as related to profile gallery.

These fields are created autonmatically when you install the plugin.

Let me know if it works our fore you!

I'm not sure that is helping. I have ONLY 3 fields in the fields manager:

1. sbviewtype Preferred viewtype Forum settings
2 sbordering Preferred message ordering Forum settings
3 sbsignature Signature textarea Forum settings

Nothing related to pg

The tabs is the only place visible. I just reinstalled the entire CB suite and profile gallery because I had some trouble with it and Joomlaboard, which I also reinstalled. I left the databases for users in place, including their profile galleris... One indicator of the problem was that I could not delete this pG from tabs menu.

I had to go into Mysql and delete the profileGallery's table AND Profiler field in the CB Tabs database before I could completely uninstall and reinstall this mod/plugin. The delete from CB plugin and Mod uninstallers would not work.
