Community Builder & Install\Components act strange

17 years 3 months ago #30400 by smaugje
As soon as I open the "Install\Components" view in the administrator section, I get an internal server error. If I try to register through the community builder login module, I get the same error. What can be wrong?

I tried setting all directories to 755. I had some problems with these access rights before.

I don't think that the problem is with the community builder. I have installed it in the same way on another website and everything works just fine there. The fact that no component list can be shown, is very strange...

Any idea what is going on???

Thanks in advance

The problem may be the memory allocation in your php.ini file. I'm not an expert at this, but found a hint on the web about how to change it and it solved the problem you've been experiencing (that I did too). I simply inserted this line in my php.ini file:

memory_limit = 16M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (8MB)

I think the default is 8MB

The article on how to change memory is here:

Good luck,

Ted
