Hi all, am installing a new joomla and CB site and am installing package and I got stock on installing comprofiler.zip am having this error:


Upload component - Failed
ERROR: Unable to find XML configuration file on package.
[ Continue ... ]
Upload component - Failed
Uninstall file not found:
/home/www/web/media/install_4602c1031d424/
[ Continue ... ]

Any hints, I don't want to skip steps and having issues later.

i think zipped copy dont have xml file
i think it would be better if u get new download

I have the same problem.

Unzipped the main package, when I try to install comprofiler I get that message. Didn't try the other packages since the 1ste doesn't work at all.

I'm trying to install it on Joomla 1.0.12.

I am having the same problem, which is perplexing because I have already uploaded and successfully installed CB on another site.

I don't remember if I did it on this computer or another one and I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the zip software on my computer. Anyway, I remember when I did successfully upload the comprofiler it was only after a couple of unsuccessful tries.

I would definitely be interested if someone can tell me why this problem is happening and how to beat it.

O.K. Finally got around it!!! Here's how I did it.

I went to Source Forge for the stable download but my computer (Vista Op Sys) kept unzipping the package to temporary internet folder and that's where the installer kept going for upload and it kept failing.

I resolved it by dragging the unzipped folder from the temporary internet folder to another folder on my desk top. When I now used the installer to browse to the comprofiler package in the desktop folder it successfully installed... viola!

Hope this helps anyone else who may have an installation problem.
