Well what about if you went to the default_language.php and edited line 243
From this:
[code:1]DEFINE('_UE_USER_CONFIRMED','Your account is now active. You may now login.');
[/code:1]
To something like this:
[code:1]DEFINE('_UE_USER_CONFIRMED','Your account is now active. You may now <a href="
www.YOURSITE.com/YOURLOGINPAGE" class="cbloginlink">login.');
[/code:1]
that will at least give them a link to the login after clicking on the confirmation email. And i gave it the class "cbloginlink" so you can make it stand out/match etc. w/CSS
Not the best option but I'm sure it could be expanded upon, and it's better than having them trying to find the login
