user management - can't edit my users list

user management - can't edit my users list was created by chenelle
When I go to edit a user under "user management", the message "you cannot edit a ''. Only higher level users have this power" comes up.

What can I do to correct this problem?

this is a known problem of joomla 1.5 beta 2. You using that joomla release, right ;) ?

This is an issue of Joomla 1.5 beta 2, not of CB. It worked fine with 1.5 beta 1.

Please post in Joomla 1.5 Q&T forum at forum.joomla.org with a link to this thread.

As I'm also in Q&T WG there for compatibility coordination with CB, I will take a look as well. :)

Just need to do it from the right context ;)

Would be great if the solution gets posted here as well, as this thread is what comes up in Google when you do a search on
"you can not edit a" Joomla! Or post a link from here over to the solution!

Got this problem as well!
Also adding a user with CB user management gives the error "illegal attempt to set user at higher level than allowed" for ALL levels! This is probably related to the error Chenelle mentioned.
I noticed that nothing on this was reported in Joomla 1.5 Q&A forum.
But this error makes it impossible to test J1.5 (beta2+SVN) with CB, and that's the configuration I need to test!!
So, Beat, please a temporary solution would be very welcome, so testing can continue.
