how to upgrade keeping custom fields was created by dens_cad
Hi,
I'm upgrading my site (Mambo 4.5.2.3) which had a CB RC1.
All seems to work fine (I still did not check all), however,
I had several _UE_xxxxx custom fields with the corresponding texts (labels) translated by some "DEFINE" in my language files.
So I have put the same DEFINE in the new language file plugins...
The fact is that now, with RC2, I don't see the good texts on my registration form ... I see each field named with the code _UE_xxxxx ??
is there any specific operation to have the custom fields translated ???
you can see that here

It should work.
Double check your new plugin language files.
Make sure you haven't missed something.

What you need to do is take your additions and add them to the new language file system, wich is at a new location..

/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language/

in my case
/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language/dutch/dutch.php

in your case (english?) its likely

components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language/default_language/default_language.php

in any case, you get the point :)

Thks guys,
you're fully right ! I was having a problem with the rights on the language files...
so it works now apart of the fact I still have a problem with Spanish ???
what is strange : my previous working RC1 language file was named spanishf.php... similar to the site language config ?
is there any rule for naming the plugin lang files in CB ?
maybe I have to rename the directory and file names to spanishf ? i gonna test that and will let you know.

yes, renaming the directory spanish to spanishf
and
renaming the files spanish.php to spanishf.php (same for the .xml one) IT WORKS
So far, it is solved - Thks again
