I am currently running CB 1.0.2 on the Joomla platform. I currently have about 400 people setup and registered on my site. If I upgrade to CB 1.1 will I need to backup any of my user database and then import or will upgrade not overwrite any database information?

backup is always recommended - both database and code.
the cb 1.1 readme file is also recommended to be studied - then if you still have questions post away ..
