Registration form access to registered users

Registration form access to registered users was created by photosphere
I have a registration button on the main menu and also a link in a content page that both work fine if a user is not logged in. Once someone logs in and they press the "Register" link they get the "You are not authorized..." error.

This is different than Joomla behavior, where the registration form gets presented if you are logged in or not.

How can I fix this?

What's the reason a logged-in user would want to register a second time ?

This is a safety measure to avoid double-registrations.
