I have a bit of php (with jumi) where i get some of my user's data to perform some magic.

I just do something like

global my;
echo ($my->name);
?>[/code:1]

It works for the basic fields (name, email, id...) but I can't manage to get the value of the fields I added with the CB component ("cb_newsomething")

Please, someone, help!

Please post more information, like exact Joomla, CB and PHP versions.

Recommended:
Upgrade Joomla to 1.5.10 for several security fixes.
Upgrade PHP to 5, as 4 is obsolete and doesn't provide security fixes anymore.
Upgrade CB to 1.2 stable (after getting PHP 5, which is required) where all known bugs of previous versions are fixed and multiple new features are introduced.

I need to use info from the user profile as variables in my code (I construct XML files with fields such as <name>...)

Okay, studying the existing team-released plugins should help you. Also posts using the same CB version you intend to continue with would also assist, but it sounds like you are savvy with PHP code, which is what CB uses.
