Filter in List manager is not working

Filter in List manager is not working was created by kentheteaman
It looks like this problem has been there for couple of years now !
I searched the forum and many have the same problem.
1.
The list filter works erratically.
Does not show correct users based on the filtering.
2.
Sometimes the search results show nothing at all.
3.
When it shows some users -
Its all jumbled up with various users with no relation to the filter.
Tried various methods like -
"Equal to" "Not Equal to" and so on.
Nothing works.
Any help in this would be great.

Well you can help by:
+ telling people what version of Joomla you have
+ what version of PHP
+ what version of CB?
+ if you are not at CB 1.2 stable please upgrade
+ if you are at CB 1.2 and just didn't mention it, then please do not post in CB 1.1 area of forum - post new thread with details in CB 1.2 stable area
+ finally post an actual example of this erratic in your opinion behaviour
