Admin locked out after profile update

using v1x of joomla and
1.1 public version of Community Builder

I have noticed for a while when confirming new registrations that alot of profile info didn't seem to be present after someone registered. Like it either wasn't being save or not shown.
However I updated my profile and tried to save the new info it prompted me for my username...which i typed in along with my password and saved.

is there a reason that CB doesn't appear to be either posting or saving profile info either in the back end when I approve new members or whan i update profile info??
