The final implementation differs from the suggested one above

By default everything is as is: username only.

But in 1.2 RC 2 there is a new setting in general settings, which influences ONLY the login: this setting has 3 possibilities:

- username only (default)
- username or email
- email only

and *only* influences how the actual "username" field of the CB login module appears and is handled.

It does not influence registration (that can already be influenced in CB 1.2 RC(1) using the "on registration form" setting).

So, yes it allows same possibilities as in previous versions, and also the username *or* email that was proposed in the 1.0 proposal

Thanks for the 1.0 proposal too by the way. It was more CB which wasn't ready for that at that time
