and this is the link, it is the widget under the youtube vid:http://search.dj/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&Itemid=90

I checked this and indeed the security cleaner cleans the malformed HTML code, which will not even display in all browsers: e.g. (non-exhaustive list):

[code:1]<area shape='rect' coords ='226,0,300,23'
[/code:1]

- There is a space between coords and = several times

- There are returns within a < tag >

- I would suggest that you first clean the code on validator.w3.org
then it should be working.

Now I hear your next question: "how can i remove completely the cleaning ?"... well, simply you can't. It would open door wide open to your site being hacked.

There are several code-cleaning sites, using "tiddy" to clean the HTML code by best guess. Maybe a note to your users ?

hmmm, I tried that by using tidy code but it still gets completely stripped out. In fact it doesn't even update, I mean I receive the message "your settings have been saved" however the old content remains in the tab and there is no sign of the code. Is there a chance the security cleaner is on steroids?

To check with your html, I added all normally blacklisted tags, listed in the description of that parameter in CB configuration (with *single* space and no commas ',').

Best is to enclose your HTML into a blank html file with existing html, head and body tags, and to fix your HTML first to validate XHTML 1.0 transitional at validator.w3.org .

CB doesn't include an html fixer like tiddy at this stage, could be a nice addition in a later release, as users tend to paste buggy html, but it's not a solve-all solution.

Once your code validates w3, *if* it still doesn't work with pasting things between <body> and </body> (not included) still doesn't work, please paste your html file in [ code ] here, so we can try to reproduce problem and fix.

For now, I don't have time to fix the html or to look at non-validating html, sorry. ;)

Thanks. :)

I am trying to paste this code but its getting stripped,
[code:1]<div id="wpdc_embed_12137598063" style="display: none">Ministry of Sound TV</div><head></head><script src="www.widgipedia.com/embed/TheDashboard/Ministry-of-Sound-TV_964w-12137598063t.js">[/code:1]
any clues why? I have added the following tags to my config:
[code:1]text, display, MTV, css, div id, iframe frameborder, cboxmain, map name, color, param, tag, embed src, embed object, applet, body, bgsound, base, basefont, embed, style, frame, frameset, head, html, id, iframe, frameborder, ilayer, layer, link, meta, name, object, style type, script, style, title, xml[/code:1]

ok so I finally got enough tags in my list to allow me most of the widgets I needed. In case anyone else is having trouble getting widgets to show here is what I put in the "Do not filter following tags on editor area fields:" under the user profile tab of the cb config -

[code:1]text, p, p style, display, script type, css, div id, iframe frameborder, cboxmain, map name, color, param, tag, embed src, embed object, applet, body, javascript, bgsound, base, basefont, embed, style, frame, frameset, head, html, id, iframe, frameborder, ilayer, layer, link, meta, name, object, style type, script, style, title, xml[/code:1]
And most widgets from these sites work for me now:
www.widgetbox.com
www.widgipedia.com
www.slide.com
and a few others that I will list when I remember.
