I had a probem installing CB plugins on my remote server via directory install i.e. they wouldn't install. I solved it by putting the FTP user name and password (aaagh!) into the configuration.php file which is probably in your root joomla directory. The CB plugin installer doesn't request the ftp name and password like the Joomla installer does. It worked fine then. The values should be removed from the config file after doing the install since it represents a terrible security risk. Why does th CB installer not work in the same way as the Joomla installer? Am I missing a secure CB parameter or is it a horrible bug/oversight?

I am using 1.5.3 and CB 1.2 RC
