I'm hoping there is some way I can accomplish the following.

My client's site is an association for musicians and the main focus is to be able to search for other members in the association. Unfortunately, some of these members don't have email addresses so, they're of course not included in the database.

Is there some way I can override the default requirement for email so I can add these missing members through admin, and then revert back to the default?

I just need to be able to make these missing members available to users for contact purposes.

Any help in pointing me to some kind of solution would be great.

there are 3 different ways to solve this...

1. you can insert them in the backend CB Membermanagement with dummy email

2. you can import them with an import tool like CB Juice if you have your memberlist in csv

3. you can allow to register without confirmation email in CB backend config - your members will still need to insert dummy email in registration form
