My first response was from a moderator over at Acajoom ( I posted there as well since this is both a CB and Acajoom question). Unfortunately they did not know how to help. I am hopeful that the CB community will be able to give me more to work with.

I am running Joomla 1.5.6 with CB 1.2 RC2 and Acajoom News 2.0.6

Is there a way to accomplish the following...

An article is added to an email in Acajoom with a readme link.
Currently, if the email recipient uses the readme link, a 404error occurs (the article is not public). I know this is because the link as attempting to go straight to the article (http://mysite//index.php?option=com_contened&task=view&id=1539&Itemid=95) and then the CB Login is not getting called.

If I can somehow recognize that the user is not logged in (which I think I have already figured out), HOW can I capture the data needed to call the CB Login and then have that redirect to the correct article after log in?

I hope this is clear. Let me know if it is not.

#1 CB Login must be used for CB to function properly. See the installation.txt included in your install package. This is the only way CB recognizes the login!

#2 If you want people to access articles without being logged in, the article and the menu item must both be set to Public.

I think you may have misunderstood. I am using CB Login.
I don't want the articles, nor the menu item to be public. What I would like to accomplish is the following:
When a link is generated in an email by Acajoom it has the form
(http://mysite//index.php?option=com_contened&task=view&id=1539&Itemid=95)

This causes a 404 error if a user who is not already logged in clicks on the link in the email.

So I would like to capture the fact that the user attempted to access via this link, then send them to the CB Login and upon successful login send them to the article they attempted to access to begin with.

I believe I have the redirect to CB Login working by hacking the base Joomla index.php file. Now what I need to do is figure out how to make the CB Login redirect correctly to the requested article.

This feature would be nice overall. If a user is on the homepage (or any public page displaying article intro text and links) and clicks on a registered article link, they are taken to the CB Login. Once they log in, they should be taken to the article. As it is now, I don't believe CB Login provides that capability.
