15 years 7 months ago #76457 by john1000
hello,

i know admins can approve members....
but is there a way that a member can approve members somehow ?
Maybe with some rights ?..or settings?
I know we can put a member in the admin group etc...but then they still have to much rights.,..
Any way to do this?

Well there IS a way I suppose, but there's no way for frontend to see a user that's not approved. So I don't know what to really say on that aspect.

It's doable by a simple UPDATE query, but I have no idea where you'd put the query and the link to trigger it. As you can't see non-approved users to my knowledge.

Only way it'll work is to actually design a new component that'll list users that haven't been approved. Bout the only thing I can think of, but if you're going to allow anyone to approve anyone then you might as well turn account confirmation off.
