Hi,
i have been searching these forums for a while now and i cant seem to find a decent solution here. I would like to be make the email link in a users profile go straight to my built in pms for frontend/unregistered users. The quick message tab is designed to show up only to registered users with uddeIM, so im trying to think of a better way. Simply creating a menu link to the component wont work because no individual profile email shows up, so the browser would have to copy and paste an email into the box, which is bad. There has to be a better way around this, with uddeIM or another system. The built in pms system also seems to show up to registered users only, so does anyone have any ideas......please thanks

I don't get what you're trying to do. What you're asking is already done.
You want a button that links to your PM system? You say you have UddeIM. There's a button that says PM and it's also on the Message menu. Says Send Private Message. Obviously you need to be logged in for this to work, but are you trying to allow public messaging? You can enable this, but I'd strongly advise you not to. That's openly welcoming spammers to spam the crap out of your users.
