External API for data in Com_Content? was created by moseleysc
Hi all,
Was wondering if there was an external API of sorts to use information outside of CB....
Basically, I wanted to get some location data from a users profile to load into Mike Reumer's Google Maps plugin.
I talked to him and he's used some SQL before to get the data.
Is there an easier way to do this? If not I'll use something like the code above.

Only 2 methods I believe will do this.
SQL query or make a mambot for it, but I believe a mambot already exists for pulling say a username and avatar and linking to their profile. Wouldn't be too hard to modify this mambot to pull other information, but really it's just an SQL query except you get to use neato little tags, lol.
I think I last saw it on joomla.org
