One CB db for Ten CB sites?

Sounds odd I know!! but I may have a requirement for this.
Let me explain, there will be ten sites all with CB on so that users can register and login (login will be used for docman VM etc) but I want the login to work on all ten sites.
Would this be possible with CB with some modifications?

I can think of maybe using a cron job to run a php file on the server that takes the data from the "Central" CB database and then copies that data into the tables on the other 9 sites. This would be using the tables jos_core_acl_aro, jos_core_acl_groups_aro_map, and jos_users.
But if someone regsiters say on site 8 between the cron jobs..thier login would vanish..

Can anyone see this working?

I would be interested in your progress as well.

I'm interested as well, I have a client asking for a dating site with separate sites for the men and women to register. Is it possible for 2 site to use the same database tables at all?

Read up. Same method applies to CB.

Need to find the function for the database call and change it around a bit. So all $database and such call the external database.
