Hello everyone,

I am a first time user, with an existing site and existing users.
If I install CB I read in the readme I have to disable joomla login menus and registration, no problemthere...
However I do not want my current users to be in the joomla system unable to login to the CB system.

Can anyone tell me if CB uses existing users as well?

CB will synchronize its user table with the (pre-existing) joomla users. If you follow the installation manual your pre-existing users will 'become' CB users without even noticing and be able to login into CB just fine.

I forgot to mention that the site runs a forum as well (using the normal joomla user database), will this cause conflicts? If someone registers for the forum, or for CB will they also be synchronized?

That really depends on the forum systems. For many forums there is a CB compatibility plugin which will manage users as well, please check with the forum software or the Joomla Extension Directory (extensions.joomla.org).
