When trying to upload an image to my CB profile. It says successful but the image does not display. My apache logs show the following error.

(13)Permission denied: /home/jaysen/htdocs/images/comprofiler/.htaccess pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable, referer: www.jaysenjohnson.net/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&Itemid=3&task=userAvatar

There is no .htaccess file in the directory. Should there be? Any ideas?

Any ideas at all? It looks like it wants a .htaccess file in images/comprofiler but it is not there. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no luck. I even tried to go back to CB 1.1 and I get the same problem.

I am not sure if it matters, but I run an apache module called mod_suphp to run php scripts as the user it's owned by. I tried disabling that module to see if it fixes the issue but still no change.

I am completely lost

Ok this is now solved. I needed to chmod 755 on the images/comprofiler directory. Not sure why this wasn't the default permissions but it's now fixed.
