This may be a basic question, but under the tools section of joomla 1.5.8 there is a mass email button. Is this a function of community builder or is this something totally different? Also does community builder have the ability to send out a mass email from the administrator to everyone signed up on the site? The mass email doesn't seem to be working

Mass email is a Joomla Core feature. If it does not work, the CB notifications are not working either. You will have to fix that. With this tool you can send all registered people a mail - no need for a special CB tool.

Check your mail settings in Joomla Configuration.

Joomal Core mass Email works fine, but I want to send to selecte CB users only.

I have added a field called member category, and I want select one category and send an email to all those in that category.

Joomla mass email only lets me select Author, Edtior and Publisher. Not at all what I want to do.

Any suggestions???
