I could be wrong, but this sounds like an improperly invoked no-conflict mode to resolve mootools/javascript conflicts. It's probably in your template?

This problem is currently after months, I have installed annother template but the problem is the same.
It is in frontend en backend.
You can see this on my website www.dol-fijntjes.be/ under contact or login is the same.

Consulted with Beat. It's a corrupt installation due to expert FTP override. Try reinstalling with normal Joomla settings, and make sure nothing is red for Joomla installation unless you change it to green.

Thanks for your help, I have new installed and it was ok.
But I don't now what was happend!!!
