An increase in illegitimate users. was created by asteroidy
After upgrading to CB 1.2, I now get a lot of registered users with email addresses from Russian websites or Gmail who all fill out the same fields and always choose the first option in any drop-down menu. They sometimes upload avatars which are all the same size, 50x50. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Are you using captcha? Even if you are, captcha is vulnerable. Do some googling. Not sure how to help you, but just raising your awareness to some possible issues.

Not sure why 1.2 would be more vulnerable unless you are not using captcha or using different captcha settings.

probably a coincidence.

Use Captcha, and/or set a field with a simple question, and add validation in field params.

That will turn bots away.

Oh, Captcha 1.0 plugin doesn't work with CB 1.2? :(
