[SOLVED] Upgrading CB 1.9 to 2.0.11 was created by edmundcheong
I am currently running CB 1.9 with all its plugin (conditional and auto actions, etc) on on Joomla 3.1.5

I am planning to upgrade both Joomla (to 3.4) and CB Version (to 2.0.11).

My questions below:

1. Will it affect my field conditions after upgrading joomla and CB?

2. Will it affect my auto actions after upgrading joomla and CB?

3. Is it advisable to upgrade to Joomla 3.4?

4. Will Joomla 3.4 work well with CB 2.0.11?

5. What do I do? Step by step upgrade of my Joomla 3.1.5 to 3.2 followed by 3.3 and 3.4? Followed by CB update from 1.9 to 1.9.1 to 2.0 etc?

6. Or can I just update my Joomla 3.1.5 to 3.4 and CB 1.9 to 2.0.11 directly?

7. What about the plugins? Do I update them step by step (one by one) or just re-write everything with the CB Quickstart Pro?

8. Will my old plugins (come bundle with CB Quickstart Pro 1.9) work on CB 2.0.11?

Thank you.

1. Will it affect my field conditions after upgrading joomla and CB?

Your conditions should continue to work fine, but please be sure you've made a full backup. I also recommend upgrading a clone of your site then test it carefully.

2. Will it affect my auto actions after upgrading joomla and CB?

Your actions should continue to work fine, but some actions or usages have been deprecated; check them carefully.

3. Is it advisable to upgrade to Joomla 3.4?

Yes.

4. Will Joomla 3.4 work well with CB 2.0.11?

Yes.

Upgrade Joomla, upgrade CB, then upgrade CB plugins. See the above video for further information and what to expect.

7. What about the plugins? Do I update them step by step (one by one) or just re-write everything with the CB Quickstart Pro?

Upgrade everything according to the chart below.

8. Will my old plugins (come bundle with CB Quickstart Pro 1.9) work on CB 2.0.11?

Maybe, you need to upgrade everything after installing CB 2.x. It's recommended to unpublish all non-core plugins during the upgrade as well. Old plugins are labelled incompatible and may or may not work.

What timezone do you have set within Joomla global configuration? PHP version?

Please see the below topic. Appears there's a bug with our offset calculation.

Am investigating for a fix for a nightly release.
