Hi everyone,
We currently use Community Builder (CB) on our Joomla site, and until now we used the Hotspots module from Compojoom to geolocate users and show map-based content. But we’ve learned that Compojoom is shutting down, and we’ll no longer be able to maintain or extend Hotspots. We even had to build a custom CB plugin to integrate it.
Now we are looking for a new mapping solution that:
- Integrates (or can be adapted to integrate) with Community Builder user profiles (i.e. each user can set their location, map fields, etc.)
- Allows users to configure or edit their location/content (e.g. address, marker info)
- Offers features like radius search, filtering by distance, clustering, custom popups, etc.
- Is maintainable / actively supported (or open to customization)
What would you recommend as the best tool or extension for this in a Joomla + Community Builder environment?
Have you used any mapping module or plugin you can strongly recommend (or conversely warn against)?
