CB Gallery glitch when pasting from OneNote

Hello,
I'm having very weird behavior when adding a picture to the gallery. 
I add a picture by using the "Share Media" button and then copy text from OneNote and paste it in the title or description of the picture and a new png is created of the text adding it as another image.
Furthermore, after deleting the png created from the pasted "text", that png image is replicated (automatically, by its self) many times. 
The gallery then looks like this:
 
This only seems to happens when pasting from OneNote, I tested MS Word and several text programs, and they were OK. Only OneNote created the issue.

Nothing I can do about that. That's how OneNote seams to be copying to the clipboard. It's copying an image for whatever reason. The paste logic in CB Gallery cannot process text at all. This seams to be an issue with OneNote for a very long time.

You'll need to do a raw paste with Ctrl + Shift + V to get around it. Alternatively paste into notepad then copy from there.

Thanks for the quick reply. 
What I'm concerned is the replication of the text/image. The fact that it makes an image out of the text, maybe something unwanted or not isn't that concerning. 
The problem for me is that it creates the image 20+ times. In the Gallery media I see one published version of the text/image and 20+ versions automatically unpublished. 

 

These are the steps that I took:

1. Went to My CB Profile and in the Gallery Tab clicked on the button "Share Media"
2. In the dialog box I dragged and dropped an image
3. The image is quickly processed and in the resulting window, there are 2 text fields to enter a title and description
4. Open OneNote and copy text from there (Ctrl + c)
5. Come back to the image upload and in the title or description field paste the text from OneNote with Ctrl + v
6. Close the window from the top right "x" without clicking save or anything else. 
7. Through the admin back end go to CB > Plugins > Gallery > media

The result is the screengrab above. 

Like you mentioned, I tested and if I paste with Ctrl + Shift + v this does not happen, even from OneNote. 

A user brought this to my attention, because in his confusion as to why these images were popping, he kept doing it and it generated several hundred images on the server.

Aside from the space and security implications, the CB Gallery module was displaying these "text" images (even if unpublished), disrupting the intention of the module that is to display a collage of member's pictures. 

The members on my site are quite decent and I doubt they would exploit this, but still the auto-replication of images is concerning to me.

It creates 20+ images from pasting once? There really isn't anything I can do about someone pasting multiple times, but it shouldn't do multiple uploads from a single paste. They're just uploading multiple times. No real different than someone uploading 100 photos from a directory. I recommend setting upload limits if you want to prevent them uploading too much. Upublished media should only be visible to you as a CB Moderator. Nobody else should see them.

Strangle it seams like a bunch of comment uploads. It's possible there's something bugged in CB Activity picking up global image paste and uploading to every comment stream rendered. Have added a note to investigate that.

Yes.
The screengrab I posted was from the test I did, which was just pasting once. You can also see in the timestamps that every image has the EXACT timestamp. Also the asset value in most cases is "comment.0" 

That's my concern, pasting once creates 20+ images.

Ok, that looks like a bug in the paste behavior when an activity stream is present as the comment streams media sharing is picking up the paste. Have made a note to look into this further. Currently have a more pressing PayPal bug fix to deal with so I might not have that fixed this week, but it's next on my list.
