Found the problem in question #2 and now works. The problem was that max height for image was left blank. Now that I put 500 it all shows.

Do you know how or where I edit the layout of the page so that the spacing is not so squished as in my attached file?

Means you blanked it out as by default it had a value.

Inspect your page with firebug to see css that needs to be updated in your template.
