I am currently in the middle of a major issue after upgrading from Joomla! 1.5.26 to Joomla! 2.5.7: The user profile database did not port over correctly. The old user database has all of their profile information, but the new database only has username and email, and even some user profiles are missing.
My developer is telling me that there is no upgrade path from 1.5 - 2.5 for Community Builder - is this true?
I upgraded from joomla 1.5 to joomla 2.5 some time ago with no problem at all. I don't remember exactly how I did it but basically:
- Install a CB version compatible with joomla 2.5 in your joomla 1.5 site.
- Upgrade to joomla 2.5.
- If the CB data is not transfered you can import the old CB tables to new database with no problem because you previously installed a CB version compatible with J!2.5.
