I too would like this functionality. Most social websites give you a tiny circle avatar in that horizontal login position that you click on to go to your own profile.
If you would give me a clue where this is done, I would be happy to change it myself.
I just stuck the avatar lines from modules/mod_cblogin/tmpl/bootstrap_logout.php into bootstrap-horizontal_logout.php , and that works. I think I can use a new class to reformat the image.
