Getting: You can't access the private section of this site.

I'm having a heck of a problem. I have CB installed on a Joomla 3.4 Web site. If I log in as a registered user, I get this error: You can't access the private section of this site. If I log in as a superuser, no problem. I want users to be able to register and be able to add items to my JCalPro calendar. Site is at anacortesnow.com. Users are able to register. Is this a DB issue? Or, do I have something configured wrong in Joomla?

Check your menu and plug in permissions. It sounds like you have something set too high.

Most cb plug ins default to public, and should only be changed if you know what else that may effect.

Good luck,

Then some of your Joomla menu items are wrong or perhaps you tampered with Joomla permissions.

Yes, something is wrong. No, I haven't tampered with Joomla permissions. Don't know enough to do that.

No, I think I'm missing something. Looking at the Getting Started area...

Says I should have things which I don't seem to have...

After you install Community Builder for the first time, you will see a new Community Builder Menu created in your Joomla Menus area. This new Joomla menu contains the following menu items:

CB Moderate User Approvals
CB Moderate Reports
CB Moderate Images
CB Moderate Bans
CB Manage Connections
CB Userlist
CB Forgot Login
CB Logout

Go to Menu in Joomla, pull up the CB menu and look there. What do you see?

How to find this menu:

1. Login to Joomla backend as admin
2. Click Menus at top
3. Select Community Builder from drop down list of choices
4. Select Community Builder (not 'add new menu item' which will also display)
5. Look at the image attached, you should be in a similar menu area now.
6. Look all the way over to the right: Are the permissions 'public'?
