Hide unused tabs in profile

Hi,

I'm setting up a website where 90% of the registered members have no content (articles) and no forum activity (kunena).

Is it possible to hide the empty tabs in the profile?
Currently, I see the articles tab on every profile - it would be nice to be able to have this hidden.
Same for Kunena forum posts.

I'm not afraid to dig into the code, if this is how you solved this

Is there a solution possible that won't get overwritten when CB upgrades?

For articles tab if you only allow authors and above groups to actually create Joomla content, then you can just publish the tab for special.

No solution for other plugins though.
Think of it as an insentive for people to start posting.
