Problems logging in and staying logged in

My site members are having problems logging in and when they do log in are soon being logged out.

This seems to have coincided with me upgrading to Joomla 3.6.2
I also have Community Builder 1.9.1 installed. I know I should install the latest version.

Any ideas?

CB 1.9.1 is no longer supported and I am not sure what issues it might have with joomla 3.6.

Yes, you should upgrade but make sure you have latest compatible plugins available for upgrade also.

I have asked for help in upgrading to CB2 elsewhere on this forum and am prepared to pay for help so hopefully this may solve my problem.
