Update a CB field via code on user update event was created by ferozsrb

Hi,
I'm integrating CB with a third party application for user registration and have successfully done it using a plugin.

However, when the third party application's API returns an ID, I need to store that back in to the user's table.

I've created a custom field in CB for that and I'm stuck on how to write/update the user data.

Can someone please help me with some sample code for this.
