[SOLVED] Reply from front end messages doesn't go to sender

I have UddeIM set up with the front end module and when a person without an account submits an inquiry, the reply is not sent to their email address, only to the same one that the original message was delivered to. Does reply to an outside email address not work?

Update: I tested it again and it seems to work, so I'm not sure what happened here.
