First of all there is no Joomla 1.6.4 version yet (to my knowledge).

The error is a Joomla related bug, so I cannot comment if it will be fixed in future Joomla versions. In fact I cannot comment if new Joomla versions will break something else in this or other extensions (see Joomla 1.6.2 release as example).

That said, the issue with the Joomla menu type showing always Logout action - is as I mentioned a cosmetic issue that does not affect anything.
